I am boring! My life is filled with family and my profession. To escape I enjoy movies and the theatre.

After college I "lived" for three years prior to entering dental school;I was able to do an oncology externship/fellowship the summer between my third and fourth year of dental school.
After graduation, I was stationed at Ft Knox from 1980 to 1983, when I left the security of the military and opened a solo private practice.
And, after twenty four years I built a new free standing office building where I guess I will be in until I die!
Until last year, I was a member of the Department of Surgery at Wake Med, and for about ten years I was an adjunct professor of Diagnostic Sciences and General Dentistry at UNC-CH School of Dentistry.
During all of this, my wife Dorothy and I raised two daughters,and now along with their husbands, help with our five grandchildren

In the autumn of 1980 ,the movie "Stripes" was being filmed at Ft Knox. Bill Murray developed a dental abcess and was treated by the colonel(of course).I was asked to treat the colonel's patients so he could treat Bill Murray. When I entered the colonel's teratment area, Bill Murray asked me if I wanted his autograph,too. I asked him if he wanted mine, and this was really funny to him! We did get tickets to the premiere showing of the movie.
