I haven't seen Randy in way too many years. We grew up together in Guilford Hills and went to General Greene elementary. We spent many happy summer days at the Guilford Hills pool and spent the night at each others house. I'm saddened to hear of my old friend's passing and wish we could have reconnected in recent years. I wish Randy Godspeed to the next phase of existence. Love ya brother!
If anyone knows of any memorial, even a casual gatering at a local bar, PLEASE post. Had a lot of good times with Randy in Guilford Hills and at Grimsley, most of which I can't post because of....well, never mind! I will remember you and smile, my dear friend. Tell Bill and LG hello for me.
I, too, went through General Greene all 6 years with Randy and on to Kiser and GHS. What I remember of Randy is that infectious smile that he always had. It saddens me to know that he had several years in declining health and I didn't know about it. I wish we could do a better job of being there for the suffering in our class......words of encouragement, prayers for their pain and suffering, phone calls, cards, postings. Maybe this will serve as a wake-up call to us all to let one another know our needs as we all approach declining health and loss of our parents/family in the upcoming years. I pray that Randy knew the Lord and that knowledge helped him accept where his future after this earthly life would be......a glorious new body with no more suffering and pain.....eternity with our Lord and Saviour. ><>
I remember Randy from first grade all the way through high school. He was always so kind to me, and had a constant smile for everyone. I was very sorry to hear of his declining health and passing. I wish him much love and many blessings on his transition into his new life. 🙏🏻
